Chandor rail protest: Selective targeting?

In November 2020 several activists, Goans, political leaders and MLAs came gathered at Chandor to support the rail roko agitation and to oppose the three linear projects.

The agitation was highlighted by State, national and international media channels and it will always be remembered for the years to come.

The protest against the double tracking and coal was something different -- there were dhols, kunbi dances and candle light vigil along with slogans.

Around 6,000 people came to Chandor from different parts of Goa to support the cause, but it is reported that just 5 of the activists have been chargesheeted by the court.

It seems authorities are trying to silence the voice of people and activists who have stepped out to save our lands, our soil and our rights.

The activists that are chargesheeted have nothing to fear as they have the support of all Goans. People’s power will prevail.
