To achieve the mantra of Sab Ke Saath… it should be obvious that discrimination in Khan Market types and such labelling must cease to take everyone along.
Democracy requires tolerance for all views. The latest fiat for unparliamentary words and no protests in Parliament premises permitted is another example of intolerance to criticism!
The objections of the opposition are sought to be overruled by Speaker Om Birla stating that they are only routine updating of objectionable parliamentary words not banned but will be decided on reference to context in which said and it is much ado about nothing!
Such an attitude is dictatorial and confrontational. Besides simple words used in dissent against the ruling party, Parliament proceedings are recorded for history and expunging critical words may hide/alter what is a vital matter.
I experience this in my letters to the editor where the headline and some critical words are changed which completely changes what I want to say! So it is much ado about something important?
