The HSRP number plates are going to be enforced again by the authorities who went into a deep slumber. One can still see new vehicles on the Goan roads with fancy number plates, especially those driven by influential people. Those who have tinted windows beyond the permissible limits, those who have modified silencers which produce irritating sounds when they speed up for a short distance to prove that the big boss is around. My appeal to the authorities is to check on the quality of the number plates fixed to the vehicles from the showroom to the customers. There is nothing highly secure in these plates, there is discoloration of the numbers and the quality of the plates are so poor that they just tear off into two halves. How do I replace them? I went to the appointed contractor who told me I need to file a police complaint then do the necessary procedure to get a duplicate replacement number plate officially. Can the authorities clarify?
