Under the dynamic leadership of President Adv Agnelo Furtado and his enthusiastic team, the heritage institution ...the house of comunidade in the heart of Chinchinim has come alive The old crumbling, decaying roof and the interior has been repaired and painted. In the second phase the frontage has been shifted for safety concerns, beautiful floor tiles installed, the open verandah is fenced with artistic grills, railings for the elderly and a coat of fresh paint that makes it an attractive, noticeable edifice. The greatest achievement is sustained effort to organize tenants into a farmer's cooperative.This has resulted in a green revolution bringing under plough through mechanised farming acres of fallow fields in over 3 decades. Besides rabi and kharif and cash crops have been introduced with irrigation facility and fencing against grazing cattle nuisance. The honorific title of Paddyman of Chinchinim is affectionately conferred on Adv Furtado. Come and visit the house of Comunidade. Congratulations are in order to the present committee.
