Traffic jam has been regular feature on Agasaim to Cortalim route nowadays. Everyday after 6 pm the traffic on Agassaim -Cortalim route gets blocked with all the vehicles coming from Panjim to Vasco and Margao on new flyover highway road . The time to reach the Cortalim bridge from this new flyover is almost 1 to 2 hrs. The road which leads to Cortalim Zuari bridge is burdened with all vehicles coming from Margao, Vasco and vice versa. Traffic police try their best to control the flow but the increase in vehicles on this route has been big challenge for men on duty. Most of traffic police are engaged on junction at Cortalim and near police station Agassaim, but no police men at new road built from Agassaim to Cortalim coming from SirIdao flyover. In order to have smooth flow, single flow should be followed on flyover touching back side of Agassaim church which will help smooth flow and can avoid chaos which results in delay and one has to wait for traffic to get cleared 1 to 2 hours. Traffic police alone cannot take all burden but vehicle drivers should also co-operate and follow single line to clear the traffic jam.
