The Congress party aims to defeat the BJP in the 2027 Assembly elections but I don’t see it happening if the Congress organizational leadership does not urgently, at least set up a strong organization in the State. I have observed for the last Lok Sabha election they were some dedicated Congress workers but the organization was generally very weak and in North Goa, it was practically non-existent because of which the BJP easily won the North Goa seat by a very huge margin. In South Goa the Congress candidate only won because of credibility of the Congress selected candidate and civil society and general masses joining forces with the few pockets of dedicated/hardworking Congress workers (visible in some constituencies) and also with partnership from India alliance partners who had some satisfactory organization in the State. I request the Congress leadership particularly the GPCC president to address the organization on priority (particularly North Goa) in line with the Congress Party 2027 Assembly target ambitions. (which is only about 3 years away !)
