As a lover of newspapers and an admirer of Goa, may I congratulate your newspaper from the national capital for turning 6 on June 18. I go through your digital paper every day without fail, but this is my first contribution however. Hope with everybody's cooperation, The Goan in future times achieves its zenith. I go through every page and can see Goa with its triumphs and tragedies. Specially, the Think page is educative, Open Space there under is a delight and food for thought. My humble advice, stick to conscientious liberalism and balanced reportage. To one of my favourite States, to all Goemkars my warm best wishes. With the Covid situation still surging, human lives and livelihoods lost, a younger paper of yours can render yeoman service both as a connect and a critic of the authorities. Remember Goa will strengthen with two words, susegad and enlightenment and above all harmony in every area of life.
Judiciary needs to play crucial role
Economic and social development is not just about building roads and bridges. It is increasingly about the rule of law which prevails only when there are meaningful and enforceable laws that ensure transparency, fairness and accountability.
