I can understand Goans have concerns/questions on Goan taxis and I also agree we need cost effective taxi services in Goa to boost tourism. However, we should be also aware of the general incompetence and high corruption in the Goa Transport Ministry/Dept in general. Needless to say that it’s common knowledge that generally the Goa government is overall incompetent in all matters except in corruption and promoting the destruction of environment by real estate, casino and coal lobbies. The Transport Minister himself has mega scams to his name so I think that corruption is involved in all the Transport ministry does and proposes. Hence my solution is to call for a live debate between the taxi operators and Transport Minister to iron out all the issues and the public be more aware of facts/status of both sides.
