A notorious drug dealer has been booked for being in possession of narcotics and illegally staying in Goa without valid travel documents contravening the provisions of the Foreigners Act 1946. The accused Atala holds three Israeli passports and has been regularly extradited / deported out of countries before due to his nefarious activities. The shocking thing revealed during investigations is that the said criminal holds an Aadhar card issued by the Indian government and he has been using the same to purchase SIM cards, book tickets, gain entry to buildings and visit sensitive areas in the country. This begs the question, which agency issued him the card ? Prima facie, it appears to be an inside job ; a thorough court monitored probe by CBI must be conducted because this has huge security implications for the country. Imagine if a bunch of foreign terrorists sneak into the country, they can do more damage bolstered by fake Aadhar cards than by using weapons alone. The Goa government needs to get to the bottom of this affair soonest.
