Covid doses: What happens after 10 to 12 months?

Analysis of data collected in Britain’s ZOE Covid study showed that protection from two doses of both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines fell from 88 per cent to 74 per cent and 77 per cent to 67 per cent respectively. What happens after 10 to 12 months? We need to wait and see.

The Goa government wants to give free entry to people who have taken two vaccine doses. In the light of this study, does this make sense? The only thing we know about the Sars CoV-2 is that we know nothing for sure and are learning new things every day.

The government sees only what is in front of its nose and that too from rose-tinted glasses.

The need for knowledgeable people at the top is becoming more pronounced by the day. The Goa Task Force must keep itself up to date with all current information.

Also, India must target one crore jabs per day if they wish to cover all the population by year-end. By then, all the healthcare workers and the elderly should have also been administered the booster dose. Failure of the government to do will compromise the lives of its citizens.
