Culprits behind the Sancoale incident must be nabbed

The Verna police has now reportedly filed an FIR against the culprits of a right wing organisation for installing a structure with an idol of a goddess near the frontispiece of the old Sancoale church  in the wee hours of Friday. Unfortunately, the Verna police has still not bothered to arrest the culprits despite knowing their identities. Why? Just because they have full backing of some ruling politicians in Goa? Well, these same cops are otherwise seen arresting even some of our innocent Goans (including students and senior citizens) who are found sitting peacefully to protest over a variety of issues in Goa and swiftly putting them behind bars. I think that our Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and his colleague, Subhash Phaldesai in particular should both stop issuing  senseless statements and unnecessarily instigating people on religious lines.  Anyway, I would like to salute Adv Carlos Alvares Ferreira for being the first  Catholic MLA to raise his voice to condemn this Sancoale incident and for demanding the arrest of all the culprits involved in this unfortunate incident.
