Cut down trees posing danger before monsoon

Monsoon is approaching and  at many places in Goa, some trees can be seen leaning  dangerously over people's houses. Sometimes the panchayat does not have the funds to cut those dangerous trees.  So whose job is to provide security to the people?  For that, the Goa government should voluntarily recognize its responsibility and take steps to cut such trees posing danger to people.  There is no point in calculating the damage caused by a tree falling on someone's house.  But the government should take responsibility and execute it before the onset of rainy season.

Flying squad  team should be formed and voluntary pruning should be done after taking note of the danger these trees pose.  Goa is a tiny state.  The Forest Department must consider this proposal in public interest. An old woman from Baga has applied four times to cut the banyan tree over her house. But the tree is still not cut. There will be problems of such trees in many places in Goa.  So, the Pramod Sawant government should  at least understand such people's problems and tackle them.
