I travelled a few days back home from Bengaluru with my son.We managed to get a berth in sleeper courtesy TC checker. However we noticed a rush in Hubli and soon found the sleeper compartment over filled like sardines. Subsequently my son entered into conversation with a passenger and we were stunned that a group of almost 12 to 15 people which included about 4 fully burkha clad women with kids had embarked on the journey just to settle in Margao. I felt since of late we hear a lot about government not celebrating Opinion poll and we Goans talking of Goa being sold. I wonder if the national parties are purposely doing this for 100 per cent takeover of Goa. I am a old style Goan who voted for Opinion poll along with my Catholic brothers and sisters from Quepem to keep Goa identity. BJP has allowed the demography of Goa to be totally altered. The Muslim community that constituted just about 1 per cent in 1961 has reached close to 20 per cent. Real original Goan Catholics and original Hindus from Goa have to unite and defeat the national parties. Migration to Goa needs to be controlled.
