Adipurush, a Ramayana-based film, is now facing opposition due to its wrong portrayal of Ravan, Hanuman, Shriram and Lakshman. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has also expressed opposition to this film.
It has been warned that ‘this film will not be allowed to screen in theatres’. It is scheduled for release in January 2023.
According to Ajay Sharma, head of the VHP’s campaign division in Sambhal (UP), the wrong portrayal of Hindu deities in films is a mockery of Hinduism. There is a lack of responsibility on the part of the Censor Board. The Board isn’t doing its duties.
Therefore, the Government should dissolve the Board. The tradition of defaming Hindu dharma and deities is very old as Hindu sentiments have zero value.
On the other hand, if the places of worship of other religions were insulted, action would have been taken without any complaint being lodged.
This kind of thing does not stop because Hindus do not take organised action against it, it is shameful for Hindus.
