I have been a frequent flyer from Dabolim Airport for many years and since the time the controversial Mopa airport was commissioned, I have noted that practically most of the international and local flights have moved to Mopa Airport. I am now forced to look at the very inconvenient domestic/international transit flights, out of Dabolim. So one thing is the BJP Goa Government saying that Dabolim airport will never close, which itself is doubtful, because they are many significant examples where the BJP Goa government said one thing and then did a full u-turn. If under BJP rule, Dabolim airport does remain open, then I think that will it be with practically no significant flights and instead just be open 'for keepsake'. Also, one has to check if alcohol purchase allowance has been increased for those flying out of Mopa Airport, which is now higher than alcohol purchases from Dabolim airport; if so why and which airport will benefit?
