Election promises and the economics of it

The Aam Aadmi Party has offered free electricity if it is elected to come and the BJP has already offered free water supply. Now, all that remains is for the Congress to offer free food grains, free petrol by MGP and the GFP should offer free insurance. Besides the NOTA (None Of The Above) option, the ECI can also offer AOTA (All Of The Above) option. In effect, by choosing the second option in majority, the voters can get all of the above benefits free of cost. There could be paradise on earth with all the basic necessities met. The problem of party hopping would also be solved. The catch lies in the parties fulfilling their promises and the burden it creates on the economy. However, given the huge wastage of resources in any government, it could be a possibility.
