This is with reference to the report in The Goan Everyday titled, “Government working to further women’s empowerment- PM" dated March 9, 2023.
Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the international Women’s Day had lauded the role of women’s in India’s progress and in the same breath has said his government will keep working to further women’s empowerment.
I regret to state that on the other side of the sad chapter half a million women sleep on India’s streets without a blanket to cover for safety. More reforms and empowerment step by step should help uplift the position of these women in the coming years. Only them will the nation be proud of Modi-led government.
