Autistic children are creative and confident, and they should be treated with respect and without discrimination. It is unacceptable that many autistic children and their families feel the need to leave the country due to the stigma associated with autism. The Disability Rights Advocacy Group (DRAG) should advocate for strict laws to prevent discrimination and urge the government to pass legislation in Parliament. Parents also play a crucial role in ensuring their child feels valued and can progress like any other child. We must eliminate social shame surrounding autism, which is baseless and harmful. Let us work together to end discrimination against autistic children.
