The government must ensure that there is proper, reliable and uninterrupted internet connectivity across the State. Through effective and widespread internet communication, time and money is saved. The major advantage of internet communication is the creation of jobs and economic growth. Unless there is a concerted focus on providing all the required proper infrastructure, e-governance will remain a dream with transparency and accountability in governance evading us. Once the governing process is made transparent, the government is automatically more accountable. An accountable government is capable of demonstrating good governance.
And in this pandemic with a regime of online classes, the students more particularly in the villages are suffering on account of poor or no internet connectivity. This is an unacceptable and unjust state of affairs. The studies of no student should be jeopardized on account of the failure of the authorities to provide proper internet connectivity to the poorest of the poor. This is a must today while we are in the 75th year of our country’s Independence.
