Erratic rains are our new reality

Rains batter Canacona paddy fields….. Very unfortunate, sad to see such a situation. But, sadly again, this is the reality and it’s probably going to be this way in the years to come. Needless to say, yet another impact of climate change which has resulted from the disastrous activities undertaken by us humans. And this is the situation not just in Goa but in Mumbai and across the country and the world at large.   

My mind goes back to the days when we would have four months of monsoon and paddy cultivation would go on as planned. But now we are exposed to the vagaries of nature. It seems like erratic showers are going to hang over us like the Damocles’ sword for the rest of our lives. Only God can save us now!
