The World Health Organisation has termed the situation in India as ‘beyond heartbreaking’ and is sending 1000s of oxygen concentrators and pre-fabricated mobile field hospitals.
WHO is also deploying 2,600 of its medical staff from its other programmes to help fight Covid. This is a welcome gesture and India must accept it with open hands.
