It is truly shocking to learn that Rs 17 lakh revenue collected from the Margao fair was allegedly diverted into a personal account instead of the municipality's account.
This behavior of the municipal employee has tarnished the reputation of the renowned Margao Municipal Council and its staff.
This is a clear case of fraud, and the municipality should immediately file a criminal FIR against the concerned employee. Suspending him is insufficient; he should be permanently terminated.
