A video clip of a Calangute Church priest joining the Ganesh celebrations at the Gadekar family house in Baga-Calangute has gone viral, spreading the message of peace and harmony in the State. It was widely highlighted by various media channels. My family too visited our Hindu friends, as always. Ganpati Bappa Morya! We felt blessed to visit our Hindu friends and have darshan of Lord Ganesha, while enjoying the delicious vegetarian food and sweets prepared at home. Our village group, GBE, also visited every single house in Chandor and Guirdolim to wish our Hindu brothers and sisters a happy Ganesh Chaturthi. This is how we Goans celebrate our religious festivals”with love and harmony. It shows that Goenkarponn (Goan identity and togetherness) is in our blood.
