After a complaint was raised in the office of the Deputy District collector , BDO and the local panchayat of Siolim-Marna conducted a drive to remove all illegal billboards along the MDR 10, MDR6 and MDR5 . A strict watch was kept by the panchayat to remove any new billboards that may come up along the road. But after a few months and relaxation by the local body the contractors' advertisers of these clubs which advertise their night parties have come up with a trick up their sleeves. All the billboards are now changed with locks to the poles or any spots so that nobody will be able to carry away these frames. Now what action will the authorities initiate? Why have FIRs not been lodged at the police station? The billboards have the mobile contacts of the clubs whose advertisement is being printed on it. Start fining the contractors' advertisers of illegal billboards and keep a strict watch on such activities.
