For fair elections bring back ballot paper system

A large number of people took part in the 'Goans Against EVMs Movement' meeting held on March 4 at Azad Maidan, Panaji to demand for the use of ballot papers and to ban EVMs permanently to advocate for fair, free, and transparent elections. They later marched to the Election Commission's office at Altinho and finally managed to submit a writ petition signed by over 1 lakh Goans to the chief electoral officer over this issue.  When advanced countries like England, France, Germany, Netherlands, and the United States have rightly banned the use of EVMs for fear of manipulation why is India refusing to follow suit?  Today, PM Narendra Modi is already heard telling everyone that the BJP will get 400 plus seats this time in the upcoming general Lok Sabha elections ? Now, how is he able to say this, and that too with so much of confidence? The Chief Election Commissioner of India should therefore take very serious note of the above mentioned and ban EVMs to conduct free/fair elections by using ballot papers alone in the near future.
