Fr Jose Antonio D’Costa is a dynamic, multifaceted, action- oriented person who proved his worth and left his detractors speechless.
He can be credited with several welfare works that he undertook for the benefit of his parishioners.
He started the English mass in a flash with all needed infrastructure thereby bringing in parishioners, revenue and support to the church.
He added double fans for the comfort of his parishioners and enough chairs to accommodate all. The sound system was augmented and chandeliers added which enhanced atmosphere.
The dilapidated, crumbling, renamed Mother Theresa hall was refurbished and repaired from definite ruins. The church ground was provided with a useful, convenient stage and illuminated.
The Church ground has now conveniently hosted religious services, retreats besides tournaments, social functions and entertainment occasions.
His greatest laudable contribution is the near completion of Higher Secondary building. All necessary infrastructure is provided and whatever is left incomplete is not a monumental task ahead now.
The new, spacious hall too will meet the future needs of the village and surrounding villages.
It was no mean task to undertake the construction of the Higher Secondary building that consumed his time and energy to raise resources.
He never showed any fatigue, reluctance towards any religious ceremonies but was always willingly accommodating, in spite of his advancing age and health.
