Stray dog menace on beaches going out of hand - Goan Everyday - May 18, 2024. That was indeed a desperate cry to the authorities for help in tackling the stray dog menace. It is frightful to read incidents of stray dogs attacking people on the beaches of Goa. Goa does have beautiful, clean beaches as the Russian tourist Cristina says, but the only big issue is of stray dogs.
The stray dog menace is however not limited to Goa. In Mumbai there have been several incidents of stray dogs seriously attacking passersby on the streets. So, what di we do about this issue?
One can see stray dog lovers feeding them in the streets. That may be a good humanitarian gesture but we need to go beyond that and ensure that the strays don’t go wild. They could instead adopt all these stray dogs and keep them in their care, under their guard, ensuring that they do not move out on the streets and harm people. Or else, the authorities may need to take more appropriate, suitable measures to eliminate this menace. Human life is also precious.
