What a fall from grace! Goa Congress is fighting for both its survival and relevance in the rapidly changing political landscape of Goa. Goa Congress leaders are bereft of strategies and ideas to take on the juggernaut of the ruling party ahead of fast approaching assembly elections in 2022.
BJP National President J P Nadda arrived in Goa on a 2-day visit. His visit grabbed eyeballs. It received a significant amount of media coverage. His speeches found takers.
Nadda praised the incumbent government and its initiatives that may remain unfulfilled lest there may be a change of government in 2022. Nadda made no controversial statements. He spoke from heart and advised Goans to make a right choice at the polling booth.
Poor Goa Congress is flabbergasted. It has realised too early in the game that the end is nigh. That the writing is on the wall. This is precisely why it has reduced itself to meaningless sermons that provide comic relief to its political rivals amidst rough and tumble of hectic electioneering in the poll bound Goa. Girish is fighting a lost battle.
