With the way things are going, especially in the coastal belt, Goa will soon be drowned in a sea of garbage. It is being destroyed not only by third-rate tourists who discard plastic, snack packaging, beer bottles, polythene bags, etc., but also by the local populace.
On top of this, one sees building construction and demolition debris lining the roads of the once quaint villages that lent charm to living. Why is the state government not proactively monitoring and putting a check on such wanton destruction of Goa and penalising those responsible for this? Are they waiting for the state to be completely annihilated before taking action?
Goa = Goarbage?
