Goan school students to study AI from this year

With Artificial Intelligence (AI) being discussed and used in all sectors, class IX students in the state will now have an opportunity to learn the subject. It is learnt that Goa Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary has reportedly decided to include AI as an optional subject from the current academic year that begins from Monday. With the rise of Artificial Intelligence in education, there are many different ways being used to help students learn. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a research field that studies how to realize the intelligent human behaviours on a computer. The ultimate goal of AI is to make a computer that can learn, plan, and solve problems autonomously. After completing this AI curriculum, students will have a basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning with the help of a wide variety of AI projects. AI curriculum will also help students develop important skills such as problem-solving and debugging techniques, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and creativity. AI has been introduced as a subject in class IX from the session 2019-2020 in schools affiliated to CBSE.
