Goans must rise to protect Mhadei

The recent reports of Karnataka police misbehaving and refusing entry of the Goan team at the border during the inspection of Mhadei waters only shows that Karnataka has something to hide.

It is time that every Goenkar wakes up to this serious issue as we depend on this river to meet our drinking water requirements.

With low lying fields giving way to concrete structures and water bodies getting converted into port limits, the future of Goans is at stake.

It is time the TCP and all concerned departments check on the many illegalities that are destroying our natural resources which help in collecting the rain water and initiate saving water campaign as part of the Aatmanirbhar Swayampoorna Goem mission.
