It is shocking that in our own Goa, we Goans are not allowed to book rooms in some hotels. Doesn’t that seem suspicious? There are hotels in Goa that refuse to allow Goans to stay in their rooms. This is completely unfair. Outsiders are running businesses on our land, yet they show us a “No Entry” sign. How is this acceptable?
There is no law that bans locals from staying in hotels in their own state. So how do these hotel owners have the courage to make such a rule? Is something illegal happening in these hotels? Do the owners have political connections?
This is a big embarrassment for our tourism minister, local MLAs, and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Outsiders are taking Goan ministers and locals for granted. Any hotel in Goa that does not follow proper rules should be shut down. Many hotels in Goa follow the same unfair rule against Goans. The authorities must take strict action and immediately close such hotels. These businesses should respect the locals and properly welcome Goan guests.
