With the rising atrocities on females at the beaches, the same are no longer safe for public at large. It is rather unfortunate that innocent youngsters have been losing their precious lives.
If such ugly incidents occur regularly, even tourists would refrain from visiting our State. This in turn would affect the Goan tourism industry to a great extent.
With the existing deteriorating law and order situation in the State, the government needs to introduce necessary precautionary measures at the beaches so that loss of lives (especially those of the female gender) comes to a standstill.
It is necessary to deploy police personnel on regular basis who would exercise strict vigil over the visitors at the concerned beaches. CCTV cameras should be installed over the entire area so that the footage turns beneficial in undertaking investigation in times of any untoward incident.
On many occasions the basic clues remain unavailable due to lack of such cameras at the concerned locations. Hence the initial proceedings of the police department get hindered to a great extent.
Unless strict security is implemented, it would be extremely difficult to save innocent lives from the clutches of death. The concerned female victims might be the daughters of their respective parents, but for everybody, they are almost our sisters.
Human lives are precious and need to be assured safety and protection on a permanent basis. Let us hope that our CM would consider this sensitive matter quite seriously and initiate appropriate positive steps to assure safety at the Goan beaches before the existing deteriorating situation turns from bad to worse.
The collapsed law and order in the state needs to be strengthened at all costs.
