Goa’s electorate desires change in governance

It's interesting to note that Prudent Media has carried out a sample survey to test the mood of the people based on SWOT analysis where the  performance of the incumbent BJP ranked low which indicated that the electorate is desirous for  a change in governance. The foray of well known political outfits making a beeline for the electoral pie in the state will give a run for the money to the BJP which has steamrolled its way on eco-sensitive projects by riding roughshod on people's objections. 

The Aam Aadmi Party was the first to make a foray and made huge inroads on the psyche of the Goan electorate with their brand of freebies and corruption-free politics until the Trinamool Congress threw its hat in the electoral ring by roping in dissident Congress MLA Luizinho Faleiro. 

Both the AAP and TMC are formidable players to reckon within their respective domain of governance as both the parties have tamed the BJP.  The less said about the Congress the better.  Due to the plethora of candidates in the electoral fray, the voters are spoiled for choice to pick their favourite candidates irrespective of their political affiliations.

Will recruitment for govt jobs be strictly on merit?

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has issued deadline of December 31 for completing recruitment process in various government departments. However it is not being known whether the selection of candidates would be done strictly on merit basis. Issuing powers to the departmental heads would only mean interference of politicians in producing a list of their own candidates for the concerned posts.
