The media is playing a significant role in modern era and it gives opportunity to the socially-conscious citizens to express their views on various burning problems faced by society in the column "Letters to the Editor". Any problem normally goes before the authority. The authority feigns ignorance and passes the buck. If the authority had read the letters they would have to likely redress the problem.
The buck stops here -- therefore, the government key officers and the people's representatives should read these letters regularly. Since the letters are written by responsible citizens of the society, the government and society can benefit to a large extent. If every government officer and representative pledges to work with proficiency and efficiency then society will face fewer problems which will be conducive to the progress of all.
