Greenhouse gases adversely impacting life on earth

Human beings have altered the climate system of our planet to such an extent that we are now experiencing the impact of greenhouse gas emissions in our day-to-day living. Drastic changes in climate are now being experienced all over the world with temperatures soaring, way above the average levels, and erratic rainfall patterns and floods even in Gulf countries -- something unprecedented in desert  regions.  Recent studies undertaken by  Nasa  have shown that greenhouse gases are mainly responsible for these changes that have also caused a slowing down of the earth's rotation due to melting of the polar caps and a shift in the mass from the poles to the equator. This has also  caused a rise in the sea levels which besides causing floods has also  tilted the earth's axis and reduced the earth's spin, causing a slight increase in the duration of a day by milli-seconds. The situation is so bad that even if we stop all greenhouse emissions today , the earlier amount  of carbon dioxide released  over the years , would still continue to linger for long.
