It is really astonishing to observe the Kadamba buses of the Goa government undertaking advertising gutka which is a harmful product and if taken regularly causes life threatening diseases like cancer which has no cure till today. The Goa government by advertising the tobacco product may get revenue but indirectly the advertising is promoting the tobacco product with the help of mega Hindi film stars and the younger generation emulates the stars thinking that they are also using the same. Those stars seldom consume the product but make money hoodwinking the public thus putting to risk the lives of Goans and Indians. Hence the Goa government should withdraw the advertisement on Kadamba buses to save the live of Goans especially children who will be more addicted to this tobacco vice just like smoking. I am happy that the teachers who attended state level level workshop against substance abuse among students organised by Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights raised the issue of advertisement of gutka on Kadamba buses saying these should be withdrawn immediately.
