It was sad to hear that due to a cylinder blast in New Vaddem, Vasco two family members have lost their lives. When the gas cylinder is delivered to our house it is our responsibility to check it properly for any damages or leaks and check the correct weight. Check if the regulator is rightly attached. Check the gas appliances on a regular basis and do the servicing on time. Check the gas pipe doesn't have any cuts on it. Make a daily habit to switch off the stove and gas cylinder when not in use specially while going to bed at night. When the gas cylinder pipe is leaking immediately switch off the stove and gas cylinder, open the doors and windows of the house or restaurant kitchen and do not switch on the lights, fans, etc. Please make a list of emergency numbers and paste it in kitchen. Make sure you are trained to put off the gas cylinder regulator and to handle the situation in case of fire and keep the fire blanket in your kitchen. If the situation goes out of control call for trained help to bring fire under control.
