Has GWave gone with the wind?

Numbers apparently play a big part in our lives, be it the stock of oxygen cylinders, petrol prices, or accounting of Sars-Cov2 jabs.

Well...here's a number for the internet consumer -- 290 hours and 30 minutes consecutively. That's for how long GWave -- United Telecoms -- has left my household without internet service since the cyclonic storm of May 16. They appeared to have resumed the internet service on May 28,only to disconnect it again on May 29.

If liquor shops are considered an "essential service" open for business during the "lockdown" period by the State, then surely internet service providers must rank way higher, considering the vast majority of students and parents, who now use the internet as a vital learning resource and work tool.

Consumers of GWave who have received neither service nor response must stand up for their rights, keep accurate up-to-date records of negligence in service and take action via appropriate grievance redressal mechanisms such as the Consumer Conciliation Committee in Junta House, Panaji.
