Hassles a plenty as IFFI gets underway

The importance of a Goa centric government can be seen when the locals do not get VIP treatment compared to vested interests who do! It is reported that there was utter chaos, many hassles, and waiting citizens got drenched in rains before screening of the opening film at IFFI, resulting in Covid protocol being thrown to the winds.

The GUJ, Electronic Media Association besides others staged a protest against the central government decision to sell broadcasting rights to a private company OTT platform whilst denying entry to mainstream media to cover the event without even keeping them informed! Parking and convenience for delegates was also a problem.
Expenditure on the infrastructure and the great inconvenience to many non-IFFI interested citizens, garbage cleareance, etc is borne by us Goans and our media is rudely kept out lock, stock and barrel by the police? The Chief Minister Pramod Sawnt has promised our media access to cover the closing ceremony and we trust complaints by our citizens will be smoothed out and attended to.
