Heated debate over illegal settlements

There was an outburst in the ongoing Assembly session, where RG MLA pointed out that illegal settlements need to be addressed. One can argue in a civilised manner on the wordings etc but what was interesting to note was is there are clear serious lapses on part of the government allowing such illegalities and even not acting where there are Court orders to address the illegalities. The chief minister seems to have conveniently tried to ignore the same!

Also MLAs like Rudolph, Reginaldo, Mauvin, Digambar seem to be most unsettled. Rudolph/Reginaldo in my opinion were making immature and out of context comments, more like "tantrums''!

It appears that these politicians have more to lose in terms of "wealth accumulation" and "power" versus the people staying in the illegal settlements!

I reiterate the fact that illegally setting up vote banks in total control of politicians goes against the spirit of a good functioning democracy and is actually a manipulated democracy; it actually increases arrogance, corruption and non accountability for these respective politicians!
