As power and money engulfs politicians we hear some frustration vented by Forest Minister and his better half who heads the Forest Department. Goa foundation an NGO has been called a fraud.
Terming Goa Foundation as fraud the Minister has also indirectly insulted the highest court of judiciary for upholding the cases that have been argued by the NGO on behalf of every Goenkar and the national animal the Tiger.
Why should our modern day people live in the forest? The government should promise to give a better living to these people with better amenities in the urban areas.
Sadly land is sold to the highest bidder for the well off to stay in the urban areas while our poor brethren are asked to live in the forest. These politicians piggyback on these poor people in the garb to help but grab more land from them in the name of development.
The judges of Bombay High court gave their judgment in the interest of the people and Tiger. This should be honoured by the government. Goenkars should be thankful to Goa Foundation for all that they have been doing to save the Tiger.
