The relationship between both these both the countries Canada and India has taken a bottom slide hit in the past few days. It was started by Canada accusing Indian agents of targeting and murdering of Hardeep S Nijjar on Canadian soil on June 18 sparking a tenacious tirade of counter accusations by India denying having anything to do with the killing. Moreover all types of visas which were being issued by India for various purposes like visit, business, study, tourist and miscellaneous other have been temporarily halted and put on hold indefinitely. It is believed that resumption for issuing visas may take upto a year, but they can resume earlier depending on the prevalence of a speedy healthier relations forthcoming in the coming days. Meanwhile these are turbulent times for citizens of both countries who have important issues to deal with on their immediate agendas. The Indian diaspora in Canada will either miss out or postpone wedding ceremonies or other vital functions back home, culminating during this festive season. Hope in the coming days the air is cleared and the relations are restored back to normal speedily as both countries stand to lose much.
