In property notices, provide buyers’ details

Notices pertaining to buying and selling properties (lands, flats, houses, shops etc.) always mention the sellers’ names and very rarely of the buyers. This is understandable since someone at large would get to know if the seller is genuine, if the property is under any dispute, probate, mortgaged, previously sold clandestinely to several buyers, etc.

As per the advocate’s notice, any affected persons could raise their objections and stop the sale of the property. These procedures safeguard the potential buyers from being cheated and halt long-drawn civil cases, if the sale unwittingly goes through.

Should we not consider another scenario wherein a buyer may not be authentic and might have taken some sellers for a ride? Or the buyer could be a front (benami) for someone else who could be a bona fide buyer or otherwise?

These facts could be revealed if some readers, sellers or real estate agents spot the names of the interested buyers. Hence, in all fairness whenever there are property notices, the details of the sellers and buyers need to be mentioned.
