India needs to strengthen its internal security

The Red Fort blast case raises a troubling question: how do individuals with suspected extremist links move across states without detection? Such repeated failures in intelligence coordination expose ordinary citizens to avoidable danger. Instead of celebrating global “power” status, India must urgently strengthen its internal security architecture. A modern nation cannot depend on fragmented policing, outdated data systems, or reactive investigations. What we need is real-time intelligence sharing, updated surveillance capabilities, and accountability at every level of administration. A country’s strength is proven not by slogans but by its ability to prevent threats before they reach historic sites. A nation aspiring for global leadership must first secure its own citizens through competence, not symbolism.
