Goa seems to have this insurmountable problem of garbage, and it is getting worse by the day. Mounds of trash sully our fields, our waterbodies, our hills, our fields and our roads.
Other than being an obvious health hazard for humans, stray cattle (another menace besides the dogs) feeding on waste tend to choke on discarded plastic bags, sometimes to death. With the increasing population in the state and the apathy of the government, the problem is getting aggravated.
Clean air and a clean environment are a fundamental right of the citizens; hope that the CM Mr Sawant takes cognisance of this when he gets time from his daily temple visits and electioneering.
