Travelling on Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) buses, especially during the monsoon, has become a wet and uncomfortable experience for passengers. A significant number of these KTC buses are in a very bad state, with leaky ceilings that wet seats and force passengers to stand despite empty spaces. This isn’t just a matter of inconvenience. These constant leaks pose a health risk, creating wet environments perfect for breeding mould and bacteria.
Passengers forced to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in such conditions are more likely to get illnesses. The current situation reflects poorly on the authorities responsible for maintaining KTC’s fleet.
