This is with reference to the report, "Massive hole found metres from Mopa airport runway - The Goan Everyday September 3, 2022." This is certainly disturbing news. A large hole in the vicinity of the runway of the new Mopa airport is cause for worry. Instead of covering the hole with mud, the authorities ought to stop and investigate the cause. According to the report, a similar hole was found at another location in the airport premises. Is this some sign of an impending disaster? Certainly there is something happening beneath the Earth. Are we looking at some environmental disaster? Are we paying the price for our mindless, self-destructive activities?
