Let love flow like a river, overcoming all obstacles

This is with reference to the report "Speaker grants 8 defector MLAs 6 weeks to file replies - The Goan Everyday February 14, 2023". The disqualification case of eight Congress defector MLAs is still alive, I thought it was a dead case. This episode is dated some time last year in September and I wonder what is the point in pursuing this case. The deed has been done, the Anti-Defection Law being toothless, could not prevent the defection. So, what is the point, when love for power is greater than loyalty and faithfulness?  February 14 happens to be Valentine's Day. What are we celebrating? There is an interesting article in another section of your newspaper which says, 'Love with no Borders'. Yes, Love has no borders of caste, colour, creed, culture, religion, language, party affiliation, etc. Love can be celebrated in different ways. There are some who celebrate their love for power, whatever. Anyway, let Love flow like a river, overcoming all obstacles in its way, flowing out through you and me.

Using key Portuguese laws, but otherwise blaming them

We in Goa should appreciate the Portuguese rulers for the uniform civil code (UCC) which the other States in India are in awe of and want to adopt the same. Goa is the only State that has a common civil code irrespective of caste, creed, religion and gender.
