This is with reference to the report, "IMD warns of below-normal rainfall across India this year - Goan Everyday - April 14, 2026." The warning from the India Metrological Department is yet another warning of the shape of things to come. Nature has been sending us warning signals from time to time but man in his great wisdom has been ignoring them and continuing with their agenda of destruction of the ecosystem, the environment in the country and across the world. Ill-conceived infrastructure projects which affect the ecosystem in Goa and other cities like Mumbai will continue. Instead of protecting our wetlands and sources of water we are heading towards environmental suicide. One fine day, rainfall may stop and all sources of water may disappear. What are we going to do then?
